    Hi Antony
    Are you planning to start an early blog for next Saturday’s Farrer by-election?
    I would be fascinated to know your thoughts, with the by-election only 3 days before the Federal Budget, what impact that might have on voting across the electorate, and in light of the Nepean result.

    COMMENT: I hope to have a preview later this week and hope to cover on Saturday night. I have a few big commitments in the first half of the week.

    Dear Antony.

    Long term fans~~it would be a great oppurtunity to observe whether the popularity of ONP will turn into a solid lower house seat.

    Do you think its a smart move that Labor did not has its own candidate?

    COMMENT: There was no chance Labor could win the seat. Given the current electoral climate, there was every chance Labor would finish third of fourth. It was entirely understandable why Labor didn’t run. It avoided the government getting attention because of the result. Some might call it gutless not to run, but who’s talking about Labor’s performance this week.
